Introducing the Star CBM Caregiver Report
Currently, more than half of US states require—or are in the process of requiring—screening assessment results to be sent to parents or other caregivers to better inform them of their child’s reading and math performance. Although requirements may vary among states, engaging caregivers in their child’s educational journey is critical for creating a positive learning environment, motivating student growth, and building a child’s confidence. That’s why we are excited to announce the Star CBM Caregiver Report.
The Star CBM Caregiver Report*, now available in the Star Assessments software, helps caregivers better understand their child’s screening test results–equipping them to support and guide their child’s future success. Caregivers will get insightful information they need about their child’s performance and answers to questions like:
- Is my child at or above benchmark in the foundational reading and math skills crucial to future learning and success?
- Is my child considered on watch or in need of intervention?
- Is my child showing seasonal growth across the school year?
- How can I help my child to continue to learn and grow with practice at home, to support classroom instruction?
Easily access the Caregiver Report from the Star CBM Reading, Star CBM Math, or Star CBM Lectura tiles on your Renaissance Home page, as shown below. Then, send it to caregivers to initiate conversations and establish best next steps, together, to support each child’s learning needs.
*The Star CBM Caregiver Report is live for Star CBM Reading, Star CBM Math, and Star CBM Lectura, and is available in both English and Spanish.
