Easily access Star Preschool Literacy historical assessment data
In August 2023, we introduced Star Preschool Literacy, a computer-adaptive assessment designed specifically for preschool students who are 1 and 2 years prior to kindergarten. The information from Star Preschool Literacy allows educators to determine which foundational early literacy areas students have proficiency in, and which they need to continue to develop.
This school year, we are excited to announce that Star Preschool Literacy historical assessment data is now easily accessible in the Star Preschool Literacy Assessment Dashboard. This reporting enhancement allows educators to view incoming classes and student-level data, thereby better preparing teachers for their students, and better contextualizing and tracking students’ progress over time to evaluate trends in student learning.
Star Preschool is specifically designed for preschool students 1 and 2 years prior to kindergarten and equips teachers with the information they need to help determine the key areas in which students need additional support, such as oral language, alphabet knowledge, and phonological awareness. Recognizing and analyzing trends in student learning allows educators to collaborate and create instructional strategies to give all children their best possible start.
