Additional data now included in Renaissance Analytics

We are excited to be bringing new data sets for Star Phonics and SAEBRS to Renaissance Analytics! These newly added assessment measures further expand the holistic view of your Renaissance solutions —all in one place. As a reminder, Renaissance Analytics is available at no additional charge to all Star computer-adaptive test (CAT) customers and to all customers with two or more Renaissance-rostered products.

New metrics for Star Phonics customers now available

Based on feedback from our Star Phonics customers, we’ve added two new metrics to the Renaissance Analytics dashboards, “Star Phonics Screener Students Assessed” and “Star Phonics Diagnostics Students Assessed,” so leaders can quickly see the number of students completing each type of assessment at the district or school levels.

The Screener metric is based on the fall/winter/spring screening windows, and the Diagnostic metric uses a rolling 28-day window. Like all Renaissance Analytics metrics, you can further disaggregate the data by toggling to other views or examine trends over time through the Explore button.

New metrics for Star customers using SAEBRS

In February 2024, SAEBRS became available with the Star Comprehensive Suite, to help educators identify students at risk for behavior problems that can impact their learning. This includes mySAEBRS, where students self-assess their behaviors. As a natural extension to this connection, we are now capturing additional data in Renaissance Analytics so leaders can easily compare non-academic data alongside their assessment and practice product data and get a full-circle view of how students are performing overall. The SAEBRS metrics include the number of “Students Assessed” and a “Screening Report” that indicates the percentage of students at risk (Low, Some, High) based on their social, emotional, and academic behavior.

An additional benefit of having SAEBRS metrics in Renaissance Analytics is the ability to compare results of the teacher assessments and students’ self-assessments side-by-side.

With these new metrics, district and school leaders can get quick insights into their implementations of Star Phonics and SAEBRS (when used as part of the Star Comprehensive Suite) in a single view.
