Freckle customers can now get even more insights into how their district is using Freckle with the addition of a new metric in their Renaissance Analytics dashboard: Average Minutes Practiced. Knowing how much time students spend practicing in Freckle is an important piece of understanding Freckle efficacy. As shown in the screenshot below, customers can toggle to different views of this metric to see a number, a bar chart, a trend line, etc.
Customers can also take advantage of the Explore feature in Renaissance Analytics to conduct deeper analyses and disaggregate the data by student demographics and school groups and view trends over time.
Average Minutes Practiced was added in response to customer feedback, as well as to support district and school leaders’ desire to know if students are practicing the recommended amounts of time in Freckle. This ranges from 15 to 30 minutes, per subject, per day, depending on the grade level.
These new metrics are an addition to the first set of Freckle metrics that were released in September 2022. Freckle customers have been able to review Active Students (the number of students who have completed one or more sessions) and Accuracy (the percentage of students who have an overall accuracy of 80% or higher) through their Renaissance Analytics dashboard. Having this data enables customers to answer key questions like:
- How many students are using Freckle? At which schools? In which grades?
- How has student engagement changed over time?
- Are there differences by student demographics?
